Michael has been a professional working drummer for many years, as an educator since 1995, both in his private teaching practice and also for Yamaha during a 3 year period. He has worked extensively from the 1960’s through till today, enjoying time with 10cc line up in the 1970’s to working with various members of Sad Café, has been a member of the touring blues band The “Bill Baileys”. Michael has received extensive tuition with Dave Hassell one of the UK’s top educators and also Stuart Riley (Bassist) examiner at Leeds University. Currently for the last few years playing on the Manchester Jazz Circuit with Aaron Liddard,Cleve Freckleton, Steve Brown, Jon Thorne, John Ellis, Ed Kenyack, Audrez Baraneck, Frank Grime to name but a few. Currently working with Daco as a percussionist. Michaels work extends into the therapeutic field with disability, providing a service to the NHS and public sector. Working with cerebral palsy, dyspraxia, downs syndrome and also the Stockport Child Development Unit and Pallative care unit “Dragon Fly”
